WILD GOD SPRING 2026
THE FORGE: JUNE 5,6,7
An immersive, Christ-centered wilderness gathering designed to help you step away from the noise and meet God where He often speaks most clearly.
Worship under open skies. Gospel-centered teaching. Intentional time in God’s Creation.
WILD GOD exists to help people encounter Jesus and grow deeper in relationship with Him through time in God’s Creation.
This event is not a conference. It’s an invitation to slow down, listen, and be renewed.
What is WILD GOD?
WILD GOD is a multi-day, Christ-centered gathering rooted in Scripture, worship, community, and experiential learning in the outdoors.

Creek Stewart
Speaker Bio
Creek Stewart is a world-renowned Wilderness Survival Instructor, Keynote Speaker, Author, and Television Host. He is the author of more than 40 books, including his latest, Disaster Survival 101. Creek is the in-house survival expert at The Weather Channel and has hosted three television shows that are viewed around the world, including Could You Survive? with Creek Stewart, SOS How to Survive, and Fat Guys in the Woods.
Speaking Topic: A Faith That Isn’t Tested Is a Faith That Can’t Be Trusted
In this powerful and deeply personal message, survival instructor Creek Stewart shares his own testimony to reveal God’s unyielding faithfulness and perfect timing in the midst of hardship. Drawing from Scripture and lived experience, Creek reminds us that God’s plans are greater than our own, His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts far surpass our understanding.
Through stories of trial, suffering, and loss, this message reframes difficulty as a divine tool—one that reminds us this world is not our home and draws us closer to the heart of God. Creek challenges listeners to see adversity not as abandonment, but as preparation.
Just as metal must endure intense heat and repeated hammering to be forged into a strong and useful tool, faith is formed and strengthened through the trials of life. When tested, faith becomes durable, trustworthy, and usable for the Kingdom of God—so that even in weakness, we may walk in true strength.

Now, Annette carries a passionate calling: to help people uncover their true identity in Christ and begin walking in the fullness of all they are created to be. Creek Stewart
Instructor Bio:
Creek is a wilderness survival instructor, author, and television host. He and his wife Sarah have two kids, River & Lakelyn.
Workshop Title: Natural Fibers: God’s Hidden Provision in Creation
In this hands-on workshop, survival instructor Creek Stewart will guide participants on a walk through the property to identify plants and trees that God has woven into Creation to provide natural fiber for rope, cordage, and binding. These materials—often overlooked—have been relied upon for thousands of years for shelter, tools, traps, and survival.
After harvesting raw plant fibers, students will learn a practical survival technique for transforming these crude materials into strong, usable cordage. This simple but powerful skill turns what appears weak and insignificant into something dependable and purposeful.
Along the way, Creek draws a clear parallel between cordage and faith. A single fiber breaks easily, but when fibers are twisted together with consistency and discipline, they become strong. In the same way, we are not designed to walk alone—strength is formed through fellowship, faithfulness, and obedience over time.
Participants will leave with both a functional survival skill and a deeper appreciation for the way God has embedded provision, wisdom, and spiritual truth into the natural world around us.
-

Sarah Stewart
Instructor Bio:
Sarah is an award-winning artist and graphic designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University. She finds joy in sharing her passion for creativity and the beauty of creation with others, inspiring them to see the world through a fresh, artistic lens.
Workshop Title: Natural Fiber Bag Finger Weaving
Using a simple micro-loom, Sarah will teach a time-tested finger weaving technique with natural fibers to create a small woven pouch. This foundational skill is easy to learn and highly versatile—once understood, it can be scaled up to create a wide variety of bags, containers, and pouches.
Working with fibers that God has woven into Creation itself, participants will craft a pouch reminiscent of the materials and methods common during the time of Christ. More than just a practical skill, this workshop is an invitation to slow down, work with your hands, and experience the quiet rhythm of making something simple and useful from the natural world around you.
This is a skill that will stay with you for a lifetime and a space designed to help you decompress, reflect, and create in the stillness of Creation.
-

Holly Nichols
Instructor Bio:
Holly is a skilled artisan with a passion for blending creativity, craftsmanship, and the beauty of God's creation. She specializes in making unique jewelry from Job’s Tears, a remarkable plant whose naturally formed, bead-like seeds have been used for centuries in adornment and craft. Holly loves using her gifts to help families explore hands-on creativity while reflecting on the spiritual symbolism God has woven into nature.Workshop Title: Job’s Tears Jewelry: From Seeds to Faith
Join instructor Holly Nichols for a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly workshop where you’ll discover the beauty and meaning behind Job’s Tears—a plant known for its naturally polished, bead-shaped seeds that resemble tiny teardrops. These remarkable seeds have been used worldwide to create necklaces, bracelets, prayer beads, and meaningful keepsakes.
In this 40-minute hands-on workshop, each participant will create their own piece of Job’s Tears jewelry, learning how to work with these natural seeds from God’s creation. As you craft, Holly will share the spiritual parallels found in Scripture—reminding us that faith begins as a seed, small but full of potential, growing into something beautiful when placed in God’s hands.
You’ll leave with a finished piece of jewelry to cherish, along with a deeper appreciation for how God uses the small things of creation to teach big truths. Perfect for beginners, families, and anyone who loves creative expression rooted in nature and faith.
-

Hank Gevedon
Instructor Bio:
Hank Gevedon is a blacksmith from Kentucky and the owner of Reptile Toolworks. For decades, Hank has hand-forged knives, fire-making tools, and other functional gear using traditional blacksmithing methods. Beyond the forge, Hank is a dedicated teacher who has instructed students of all skill levels in a wide variety of venues, passing on both the technical skill and the deeper respect for the craft.
Workshop Title: From Forge to Fire
In From Forge to Fire, master blacksmith Hank Gevedon guides participants through the fundamentals of forging their own flint and steel fire striker. Using heat, hammer, and hand-powered techniques, students will shape raw steel into a functional survival tool—one that will later be used in a separate workshop to make fire.
This hands-on experience mirrors a deeper spiritual truth. Just as metal must be subjected to intense heat and repeated blows to become strong and useful, our faith and character are often forged through trials and suffering. The process is demanding, even brutal at times—but it is necessary. A tool that has not been forged cannot endure the test, and in the same way, a faith that has not been tested cannot be trusted.
Participants will leave with a deeper respect for the forging process, a functional tool they created with their own hands, and a powerful illustration of how God uses pressure and refinement to shape lives that can endure.
-

Eric Nowlen
Instructor Bio:
Eric is a wilderness survival instructor, homesteader, and the owner of Patriot Self Reliance, as well as co-owner of Naughty Dog Farm in West Virginia. Raised hunting, fishing, and camping in Mississippi, his love for the outdoors was shaped early and deepened through years of military service, where he taught backpacking, orienteering, rappelling, and climbing to both youth and soldiers.
An educator at heart, Eric now teaches survival, bushcraft, and homesteading skills across the country while stewarding his homestead and rescuing dogs. At WILD GOD, Eric brings a passion for hands-on learning, mentorship, and helping others grow in self-reliance, wisdom, and connection—both to the land and to the Creator who provides through it.
Workshop Title: Flint, Steel, and the Spark of Faith
Using the carbon steel striker you forged in a separate workshop, Eric will teach the timeless art of flint and steel fire starting. Participants will learn the nuances of striking flint against steel to produce a tiny spark—and how that small spark, when properly nurtured, can grow into a life-giving fire.
This ancient skill carries a powerful spiritual parallel. In the same way, the Lord can take even the smallest spark of faith and use it to accomplish great things for His Kingdom. When placed in the right conditions and handled with care, a spark becomes a flame—and faith, though it may begin small, can be used by God in mighty ways.

Workshop Title:
Crafting Herbal Salves from Creation: Discover the healing power of God's creation in this hands-on family-friendly workshop led by Abby Steinhilber. Over 40 minutes, you'll learn how to craft an all-purpose herbal salve using approachable techniques and natural ingredients that you can buy, grow, or forage. Guided step by step by Chad “Mississippi” Johnson, students will gain a foundational understanding of how fly design, movement, and material selection influence fish behavior.
Chad will demonstrate professional techniques used by experienced guides and competitive anglers, breaking down each step so beginners feel confident while more seasoned tiers can refine their skills. Participants will learn how different materials behave in the water, when to use natural versus synthetic fibers, and how to build durable, fish-catching flies that perform in real-world conditions.
By the end of the workshop, students will have tied their own fly and gained practical skills they can continue using long after the event—learning from one of the world’s most knowledgeable fly fishing guides in an environment built for hands-on learning, craftsmanship, and community.

Creek Stewart
TAKE BACK THE HOUSE
Biblical Authority, Spiritual Warfare, and Restoring Christ’s Rule
Men’s Only Evening Workshop
This men-only evening workshop is about reclaiming territory that already belongs to Christ—but has not yet been fully governed by Him.
Many men love Jesus, believe the Gospel, and desire freedom—yet remain stuck in patterns that refuse to break. The issue is rarely effort, discipline, or sincerity. More often, it’s authority. Scripture teaches that freedom is not sustained by willpower, but by truth, alignment, and surrendered lordship.
Using Jesus’ own words in Matthew 12:29, this workshop explores what Scripture means by “the house”—your life, mind, heart, and inner world—and how strongholds form when lies are believed, agreements are made, and stewardship breaks down. This is not about demon-hunting or emotional confrontation. It is about ownership, responsibility, and restoring Christ’s rightful rule room by room.
Together, we’ll dismantle common misconceptions about spiritual warfare, expose how the enemy operates through deception rather than power, and learn why behavior modification alone cannot uproot spiritual strongholds. You’ll discover why Paul starts with truth, how authority actually functions in the Kingdom of God, and why alignment—not intensity—is what enforces freedom.
This workshop will guide you through a clear, biblical framework for taking the house back: identifying false agreements, revoking access through truth and repentance, restoring Christ’s authority, and establishing lasting freedom through obedience and stewardship.
This is not a moment of hype.
It’s a restoration of order. If you’re tired of fighting the same battles, managing symptoms instead of roots, or carrying responsibility without authority—this workshop is for you.
Men only. Evening session.
Come ready to take responsibility, restore order, and live as a man under authority.

WILD GOD Service Workshop
Survival Kits with a Mission
This hands-on WILD GOD Service Workshop invites participants to put faith into action by building real-world survival kits that will be donated directly to Overland Missions—a ministry that carries the Gospel of Jesus into some of the most remote, neglected, and difficult-to-reach places on earth.
Founded in 1999 by Phil and Sharon Smethurst, Overland Missions is known for traveling the hardest roads and reaching people with little or no access to the Gospel. Their teams operate in environments where resources are scarce, infrastructure is fragile, and the margin for error is razor thin. In these settings, a well-equipped survival kit isn’t a convenience—it can be life-saving and mission-sustaining.
During this workshop, participants will assemble practical survival kits designed to support missionaries on reconnaissance efforts, short-term expeditions, and long-term sector work. Each kit is built with purpose: to help missionaries move safely, respond to emergencies, and remain effective as they disciple communities and raise up indigenous leaders.
This workshop is more than skill-building—it is service, obedience, and Kingdom-minded preparation. Every kit assembled represents prayer, care, and tangible support for those advancing the Great Commission in hard places.
Come ready to build, serve, and send—turning practical survival skills into eternal impact.
If you’re feeling worn down, distracted, or hungry for deeper connection with God, we invite you to join us.
Come step into the quiet.
Come encounter Jesus.
Come experience God in the wild.
From the moment…
you step onto the WILD GOD property, you’ll be immersed in the beauty of creation and surrounded by outdoor workshops and activities designed to help you unplug from life’s distractions and encounter God in a fresh way.
From main stage speakers and powerful worship to hands-on outdoor skills and kids’ adventures, WILD GOD is where forest meets faith.
For three days, set aside the noise of everyday life and rekindle the fire of faith that God has placed within you.
We can’t wait to see you June 5th!

Clark Beckham
We are honored to welcome Clark Beckham as this year’s Praise & Worship Leader at WILD GOD.
Raised just outside of Nashville, Clark first discovered his love for music in the church before his soulful, blues-infused voice carried him from the streets of Music City to a national stage as the runner-up on Season 14 of American Idol. Since then, he has performed with the Nashville Symphony, opened for platinum-selling artists, and released chart-climbing music that blends gospel roots with timeless soul and modern melodies.
But at WILD GOD, worship is not a performance — it’s a response.
Clark brings a rare ability to create space for authentic worship, helping people lift their eyes, quiet the noise, and encounter God in the beauty of His creation. Beneath open skies, his leadership will guide moments that are both powerful and deeply personal.
We cannot wait for you to experience worship in the wild.

A parent or guardian must sign their child in at the start of the kids’ rotation.
Only the same parent/guardian who checked them in may check them out at the end.
No child leaves without a volunteer confirming the pickup adult.
Supervision
Maintain line-of-sight supervision at all times — no child should ever be alone.
At least two volunteers should be present in each workshop station or group activity area.
Kids move from station to station as a group, led by a volunteer, never on their own.
There will be a Porta-Potty at the Kids are for use by children at that location.
Boundaries
Kids must remain inside the designated kids’ activity area at all times, except for when escorted by 2 volunteers to the Fossil/Gemstone Dig Site.
Volunteers will clearly mark and communicate the boundaries (tape, cones, rope, or visual markers).
Bathroom trips: A volunteer will escort a group or pair of kids to the restroom and wait outside the door until all return. A Porta-Potty will be located at the Kids Area.
The Kids Ministry Leads are Megan Stewart (a First Grade Teacher at The Classical Academy in Fishers, IN and Creek’s Mom (the most awesome Mom and Grandma and a retired teacher and guidance counselor).
Headcounts
Do a headcount:
Before leaving a station & when arriving at the next stationAnytime a group returns from the bathroom
Keep a written list of names with check marks for each count.
Health & Emergencies
If a child is injured or becomes upset, notify the Kids Ministry Lead immediately.
For anything beyond basic first aid, contact parents & event staff, or call 911. We will have a first aid station on site.
All volunteers should know the location of the nearest first aid kit.
Interaction Standards
Physical contact should be limited to safety-related assistance (helping with tools, preventing falls, etc.) and side hugs or high-fives.
No rough play, teasing, or inappropriate jokes.
If a conflict between kids arises, address it calmly and involve the Kids Ministry Lead.
